Farewell To Soma
We wanted to take a moment to acknowledge a significant change within our community. As of last week, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Soma, our dedicated Property Manager who has been an integral part of Millbrook Square Apartments since March 2022.
While we're sad to see her go, we're also incredibly grateful for the invaluable contributions she has made during her time here. Her presence will be missed, but the impact she's left on our community will continue to inspire us.
Soma's commitment and genuine care for this community have truly left a mark on all of us. From promptly addressing maintenance concerns to organizing engaging community events, Soma's dedication has profoundly shaped the positive atmosphere we enjoy.

BOXES: We have noticed an ongoing issue of boxes and other items being left on the floor in the trash chute rooms. This creates an obstacle for individuals who require wheelchair or walker access, posing a safety hazard. We have posted notices in the rooms explicitly requesting that NOTHING be left on the floor.
To address this concern, we kindly ask residents to dispose of boxes and other items in the dumpsters located at the back of the building. If the item is small enough, it can be placed in the trash chute. However, please refrain from putting boxes in the chute as this can cause jams that are challenging for our maintenance staff to clear.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation in keeping the trash chute rooms clear and accessible. Your efforts contribute to a safer environment for all residents.
EXTERMINATION: The extermination process is an essential service that necessitates complete and total cooperation from all residents. Under no circumstances should a resident attempt to address a pest problem using store-bought household products or by hiring their own exterminator. If you notice a pest problem, it must be reported to the Management Office immediately.
REMINDER: The building is smoke-free, except for the designated smoking area located at the back by the brook. Smoking in your apartment or any other areas besides the designated smoking area is considered a lease violation. Additionally, it is important to note that smoking marijuana is illegal under federal law, and therefore, it is not permitted anywhere within the community.
Tech Tips: Five tips for safe social media practices
-
Only accept friend requests from people you know and trust. Avoid adding unknown individuals or accounts that appear suspicious.
-
Be cautious about sharing personal information on social media platforms. Avoid posting sensitive details such as your full address, phone number, or financial information. Keep your privacy settings updated to control who can see your posts and personal information.
-
Before posting anything on social media, consider the potential impact and who can see it. Be mindful of sharing vacation plans, upcoming events, or information that could compromise your security or privacy.
-
If you come across suspicious accounts or encounter any form of harassment, spam, or inappropriate content, report it to the social media platform. Reporting such activity helps maintain a safer online community.
-
Familiarize yourself with the privacy settings offered by the social media platforms you use. Regularly review and update these settings to ensure they align with your desired level of privacy and security.

If you haven't used your air conditioner yet, I'm sure you'll need it this month. To ensure maximum efficiency from your AC, please consider the following tips:
Close all windows and remove any obstructions such as curtains or furniture that may restrict airflow.
Check that your controls are properly set. On hot days, run the AC on high for about an hour to cool down your apartment, then adjust it slightly.
Keep in mind that the AC is designed to cool a room, not the entire apartment. On extremely hot days, using a fan can help circulate the air throughout the apartment.
Maintenance Requests:
It is important to contact the Management Office for any maintenance requests you have, even if you've already informed a maintenance staff member. The office needs to log the request into the system before any maintenance can be scheduled. Please notify the Management Office if something in your apartment needs to be repaired.
We have put a lot of effort into landscaping, so why not take advantage of the wonderful weather and enjoy the outdoors?
Office Closure:
Please note that the office will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. If you have an emergency, please call the answering service at 781-641-1410 (the same number used to reach the office). Please provide your name, unit number, nature of the emergency, and a callback number.
Thank you,
Tyrone
